The Desert and Heritage Tour will visit three of the most beautiful places in Rajasthan- Jaipur, Jodhpur and Jaisalmer. In your six day tour, you will visit heritage sites, historical palaces, local food, handicrafts and an unforgettable night in the desert. Day 1: Arrival in Jaipur – Explore the Pink City

Once you arrive at Jaipur, you will be received there and taken to your hotel to check in. When you have settled down and taken a little rest, you may begin your sightseeing by taking a leisurely stroll about the bustling local markets such as Bapu Bazaar and Johari Bazaar. Traditional jewellery, colourful clothing, handicrafts and beautiful Rajasthani footwear are some of the markets that are renowned. There are also tasty local snacks like pyaaz kachori, ghevar and lassi. After a night out in the neighbourhood of your hotel, spend the evening in Jaipur and enjoy the serene environment of the city and then sleep.

Day 2: Jaipur Sightseeing – Forts, Palaces & Heritage

Amber Fort is famous with its beautiful courtyards and the famous Sheesh Mahal. Then, you will make a stop at Hawa Mahal, the symbolic palace that has hundreds of small windows. Then you will go to the City Palace where the royal family of Jaipur is residing and there is a museum as well containing historical pieces. Then you may go to Jantar Mantar, the ancient astronomical observatory. As you head back, you can have the sight of Jal Mahal which is the palace located in the centre of the lake. During the evening hours, you may decide to pay a visit to Chokhi Dhani to have a cultural experience and traditional Rajasthani dinner. You will spend the entire day sightseeing and come back to your hotel where you will spend the night

Day 3: Jaipur to Jodhpur – Explore the Blue City
After the breakfast, you will drive out of Jaipur to Jodhpur, the Blue City due to its beautiful blue houses. After Jodhpur you will take the check in to your hotel and rest a little. In the afternoon, you may visit the busy Clock Tower Market that is known to be full of Rajasthani spices, handicrafts and local sweets. You can go along the old blue-coloured streets, experience the local culture and sample such snacks as mirchi bada and mawa kachori. You will spend the night in a comfortable hotel after having had the colourful experience of Jodhpur.

Day 4: Jodhpur Sightseeing – Fort, Palaces & Culture

On the fourth day you have breakfast at the hotel and then go to visit the grandiose Mehrangarh Fort. It is among the most remarkable forts in India and has the stunning views of the whole Blue City. There are royal rooms, ancient paintings, armour and huge courtyards in the fort. You will also visit Jaswant Thada after sightseeing Mehrangarh Fort, which is a quiet white-marble construction in the memory of Maharaja Jaswant Singh. Then you will visit Umaid Bhawan Palace Museum where you will get to know about the royal history and have a glimpse of the old cars and royal artefacts. During the evening, you can have a peaceful stroll or have traditional Rajasthani food in a local restaurant. You will spend the night at Jodhpur.

Day 5: Jodhpur to Jaisalmer – City Tour & Desert Experience

You will depart Jodhpur after breakfast and head to Jaisalmer, the Golden City of Rajasthan. After you arrive at your hotel in Jaisalmer, you can take a rest and have a shower. You will later come to Gadisar Lake, a quiet place and here you can experience the cool breeze and the soothing sight of the water. You can also visit the local market with leather items, mirror-work dresses, camel souvenirs and handmade jewellery. You will then move on to Sam Sand dunes or Khuri desert after sightseeing the city and then check in to your desert camp. During the evening, you will take a ride on camels on the golden sand dunes and then have a cultural show with Rajasthani music and dance. Your magical desert will be topped off by a traditional dinner under the starry sky and a warm bonfire. You will spend the night in the desert camp.

Day 6: Jaisalmer Sightseeing – Tour Ends

Wake up to a beautiful sunrise in the desert and have a breakfast in the camp. You will visit the Jaisalmer city after a check out. You will explore the beautiful Jaisalmer Fort which is also called the Golden Fort and is unique in that people still reside within it. You will also visit Patwon Ki Haveli which is known by its elaborate carvings and antique architecture, Salim Singh Ki Haveli and Nathmal Ki Haveli. Once you are done with sightseeing, you will be dropped at the railway station or airport and that will be the end of your Desert and Heritage Tour with beautiful memories of forts, markets, palaces and deserted landscapes of Rajasthan.
