It is an 8-day and 7-night Rajasthan Fort and Desert Tour that offers you the ideal mix of history, culture and desert adventure. This is a trip that starts with Pink City of Jaipur and goes through desert gateways of Bikaner and Jaisalmer, the Blue City of Jodhpur, and ends with the quiet holistic town of Pushkar. The following is a day by day itinerary neatly planned on your entire tour.

Day 1: Arrival in Jaipur – The Pink City
Reach Jaipur, the colourful capital of Rajasthan with the royal architecture and colourful bazaars. Spend some rest on your way after checking in your hotel. During the afternoon, have a half-day sightseeing tour beginning with City Palace, a magnificent mixture of Mughal and Rajasthani architecture. Then go to the adjacent Jantar Mantar which is a UNESCO World Heritage site known to comprise astronomical instruments.
Pass by the historic Hawa Mahal and capture pictures and pass the night in the busy markets of Jaipur such as Johari Bazaar and Bapu Bazaar, which deal with jewellery, textiles and handicraft. Overnight stay in Jaipur.
Day 2: Jaipur Local Sightseeing
Start your day with a tour of the magnificent Amber Fort that sits on a hilltop overlooking the Maota Lake. The fort boasts of a beautiful Sheesh Mahal and Rajput architecture. You may also opt to ride an elephant or a jeep to go to the entrance of the fort.
Then, proceed after Amber, to Panna Meena ka Kund, a very nice stepwell of a symmetrical form. Then go to Jaigarh Fort which is renowned to house the largest cannon in the world. Go back to the city to visit Albert Hall Museum which was the oldest museum in Rajasthan where artefacts, paintings and royal belongings were on display.
Day 3: Jaipur to Bikaner (Approx. 330 km / 6 hrs)
Check out, post breakfast and head out to Bikaner, an old and ancient city situated in the centre of the Thar Desert. Once you arrive and get checked in, start off your sightseeing trip with the great Junagarh Fort which has a structure that cannot be conquered. There are beautiful palaces in the fort such as Anup Mahal, Phool Mahal and Chandra Mahal.
Then move on to visit the only National Research Centre on Camels where you get to learn more about camels, ride camels and also have camel milk kulfi. Take a walk around the colourful market of Bikaner at night. Overnight stay in Bikaner.
Day 4: Bikaner to Jaisalmer – Desert Camp Stay
Breakfast, then depart the Golden City of Jaisalmer which boasts of golden sandstone construction and expansive deserts. Upon arrival, you will proceed directly to the area of the Sam Sand Dunes where you will be checking in at your exclusive desert camp.
During the night, have a wonderful camel safari or jeep safari on the golden dunes of Thar desert. And watch a fantastic sunset with the sky becoming golden over sand. Go back to the camp and have a cultural evening with the Rajasthani folk dance, live music and traditional buffet dinner under the stars. Night at desert camp Jaisalmer.
Day 5: Jaisalmer Desert to Jaisalmer City
Wake up to gorgeous sunrise in the desert, have breakfast and move to the city of Jaisalmer. Once you are checked in, start sightseeing with the great Jaisalmer Fort (Sonar Quila), one of the few living forts in the world where thousands of population continues to live within. Wander along the lanes of the fort, temples and havelis.
Timely see the beautiful Patwon Ki Haveli, Nathmal Ki Haveli and Salim Singh Ki Haveli, which are characterized by elaborate carving and golden architecture. Your day comes to an end at Gadisar Lake, a serene artificial lake enclosed by ghats and temples. Free time in local market in the evening. Overnight stay in Jaisalmer.
Day 6: Jaisalmer to Jodhpur (Approx. 280 km / 5 hrs)
Check out and drive to the blue city, Jodhpur after breakfast. Upon arrival, get a room in the hotel and have a shower. In sightseeing, start with the great Mehrangarh Fort which is one of the largest forts in India that provides marvelous views of the blue-painted houses of Jodhpur. The museum of the fort represents weapons, palanquins, paintings and royal artefacts.
The second destination is the Jaswant Thada which is a magnificent marble cenotaph constructed in honor of Maharaja Jaswant Singh II. Periodically, go on a walk around the old city through the old Clock Tower Market and colourful lanes. Overnight stay in Jodhpur.
Day 7: Jodhpur to Pushkar (Approx. 190 km / 3.5 hrs)
Post breakfast, drive to Pushkar which is among the holy cities in India. Arrival and check in, and go sightseeing. Explore the renowned Brahma Temple that is one of the few temples in the entire world devoted to Lord Brahma.
Make a relaxing stroll around the sacred Pushkar Lake that has 52 ghats where pilgrims offer their rituals. Take the night to visit the colourful streets and cafes of Pushkar which is the jewellery and leather shops and crafts market. Overnight stay in Pushkar.
Day 8: Pushkar – Jaipur Drop
Breakfast and check out and leave Jaipur. The memories of forts, palaces, deserts and rich culture all in the beautiful memories await you to the conclusion of your Rajasthan Fort and Desert Tour. Alight at Jaipur airport/railway station and continue on your way.
