Rajasthan boasts of numerous palaces, forts, desert and prosperous royalty. You will be watching this beautiful state through a luxurious train instead of missing out. The train is an on-wheel palace that has good food, a nice cabin and good service.
It is a 6-day vacation that is superb to those who wish to experience the opulence of Rajasthan. You visit a new city every day and explore its history and beauty and traditions, as you rest on the train.
You reach the Pink city of Jaipur. Once you check into the train seat, you are greeted with traditional ceremony music. You are looking at Amber Fort, a popular hill fort in the form of beautiful Hindu architecture. The second one of the destinations is City Palace, which is a blend of Mughal and Rajput architecture, and Hawa Mahal, which has numerous little windows. You eat in the dining car of the train, which is as old as a palace. You spend the night in the train which is going to the next city.
You get up and eat breakfast at Jodhpur, a blue house city. Mehrajgarh Fort, one of the largest palaces in India, is found in this city with mirrors, paintings and royal weapons in the palaces. At lunchtime you tour the market at the clock tower, where you purchase spice and handicraft, leather goods. Folk music and dances are also played in the evening to the guests in the train.
The breakfast will be followed by the ride to the Golden City Jaisalmer. You go to Jaisalmer Fort where people continue to reside. It has temples, craft stalls and shops in its small streets. You observe also the Petwa Palace, the carvings and balconies of which are extremely delicate. During the evening one can ride a camel in the sand dunes and look at a golden sunset. There is a folk music dinner outside, which is followed by a night in the train.
You wake to find yourself in Udaipur, a lovely romantic city, which is enclosed by palaces and lakes. Receiving breakfast, you go to the City Palace, a huge complex along Pichola Lake. It also contains a Japanese room, royal rooms with mirror and marble. Then you have a boat on Pichola Lake to visit the lake palace and Jag Temple. The water reflects the palaces making it a beautiful view. During the evening you visit the local markets that sell miniature paintings and jewels. You go into the night back to the train.
The train will bring you to Chittorgarh, the most great fort in India, where are told tales of valour. Then there comes Sawai Madhopur, where there is a Ranthambore National Park and tigers. That night you sleep in the train and you are eager to visit the forest.
There is a jungle safari in Ranthambore National Park, which is home to Royal Bengal Tigers, leopards, deer and numerous birds. You have a safari, and then you come back to the train to have a breakfast and complete your royal experience. This luxury and the palaces, deserts, and forts of Rajasthan will not be forgotten by you.
