After a hearty breakfast, your second day begins with a visit to the majestic City Palace, located on the banks of Lake Pichola. This massive palace complex features balconies, towers, courtyards, and beautiful halls. Inside, you’ll explore the Crystal Gallery, Zenana Mahal, Durbar Hall, and Chini Chitrashala all showcasing royal art, furniture, and historical artifacts. The view of the lake from the palace is simply breathtaking.
Then head to Jagdish Temple, located close to the palace complex. The stunningly designed Hindu temple belongs to Lord Vishnu and serves as an excellent representation of Indo-Aryan architecture. Finally, lunch at a restaurant on the rooftop with a view overlooking the lake. Visit Saheliyon Ki Bari, or the Garden of the Maidens, in the night. It's a quaint yet beautiful garden with marble fountains, lotus pools, and grassy lawns created for the ladies of the palace.
After that, visit Fateh Sagar Lake, a serene water body well-known for boating and Aravalli Hill view-halls. End your day with a cultural folk dance show at Bagore Ki Haveli in the evening. Begin your day early in the morning after having your breakfast with a trip to Sajjangarh Fort, or the Monsoon Palace. Built initially to track the approach of monsoon clouds, the fort today is a peaceful place ideal for nature watching and photography.
And Then go to the Vintage Car Museum with a fleet of vintage automobiles that once belonged to the Maharanas of Udaipur. The museum showcases Rolls-Royces and Cadillacs, among other royal automobiles, which used to pass through the gates of the palace.
Afternoon excursion to Shilpgram, a crafts and art village a few kilometers from the city. Rural Rajasthan and other Indian states fall under rural life, handicrafts, dance, music, etc. The place is an excellent spot to buy some of the handcrafted souvenirs and get more information about local culture.
You may also go to Eklingji Temple, about 22 km from Udaipur. It is a religious temple of Lord Shiva and one of the most important pilgrimage centers in the region. Come back to the city in the evening and dine at a lakeside restaurant and then get back to your hotel for the night.
Unwind over breakfast on your final day in Udaipur. Head back to places that charmed you if you have a spare morning, amble up and down the old streets in the area of the Clock Tower, or sit at a lakeside café with coffee. Either way, Udaipur's peaceful environment is perfect for slow travel and peaceful moments.
On your way back, you are dropped off at the railway station or bus stop to drive/train back to Jaipur.
